THE ONE ABOUT ME
I’m Alodia from the Philippines. I was born in the mid-80s. Friends is the TV Show of my generation but I’m a super late bloomer and have only discovered this great show and have become a big fan just quiet recently. (See The One Where It All Started)
I love all 6 Friends but I’m biased towards Monica simply because I AM Monica. It follows that I’m in love with Courteney Cox who brought Monica to life. But I never think of Friends as Monica’s show/story. For me. Friends is a true ensemble where no one is better than the other. I just can relate to Monica the most, that’s why she has a very special place in my heart. But other than that, I love all 6 of them – Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Ross and Joey. And all the 6 actors who brought them to life – Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc.
I also love the production aspect of Friends and enjoy all behind the scenes I can get my hands on. I have so much love and respect to the creators, producers, directors, the amazing writing team and everyone who has been part of the Friends production.
Friends is undeniably a very VERY funny show. Not just funny. It’s an I-swear-this-is-what’s-going-to-kill-me funny.
But Friends is more than just funny to me. Friends actually changed my life. (See: The One With The Confession: I, too, owe my life to Friends).
It is my greatest wish to watch a show of Friends and work in the Friends production. But since both are, sadly, already impossible, I’d settle for my second greatest wish – visit Warner Bros studios in LA, attend a Friendsfest and join (in Monica’s voice: And win! Ha!) a Friends Trivia Night/contest.
